Guardianship

Guardianship

A guardianship is a legal relationship created and monitored by the court to allow the appointment of someone (the guardian) to be responsible for decision making for someone else (the ward). The County Clerk is responsible for maintaining the records of the guardianship courts. Coryell County has two courts which hear all cases regarding guardianships.

The Clerk’s Guardianship Division issues citations, letters of guardianship, notices, and other documents as required by law or requested by customers.
